On September 19, 2012, Westmatic was named the best player in the transportation industry.  Westmatic received the prestigious International Transport Award, "The Golden Chariot" (featured above).

Westmatic was represented by founder, Jan Sundell, and current CEO, Robert Sundell, at the ceremony which took place at the Kempinski Hotel in Berlin, Germany.

Westmatic is the first Swedish company to receive this impressive award.  Winning "The Golden Chariot" is described as comparable to winning an Oscar in the film industry.

"The Golden Chariot" was founded by the Transport Committee of the Russian Parliament and the Ministry of Transport to recognize outstanding organizations and their influence on transportation, freight forwarding, logistics, education and science, and related activities.  The prize is awarded annually to the industry's best players in Russia, CIS, and other countries.

The award aims to reward the best transport companies and the most outstanding people from the field.  The project has received support from the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation Government of the Russian Federation, the Russian Union of industrialists and entrepreneurs, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia, the largest transportation organizations, guilds, and unions.

The staff at Westmatic is extremely proud and grateful to have received this prestigious award.  This is truly a confirmation of our hard work.

Since 1974, Westmatic has designed, manufactured, installed and serviced over 2,000 vehicle wash bays worldwide.  Westmatic's products include: bus wash systems, truck wash systems, train wash systems, water reclaim systems, water recycling systems and water purification systems.
