Our own detergent has been developed to complement Westmatic's system with a focus on economics
and the environment. The optimized wash result has been verified through extensive tests
– mainly in our test facility in Arvika but also out in the field with selected customers.
With a very competitive price, reduced wear and tear on the washing systems' equipment and the possibility of extended warranties, we offer a good economic solution both in the short and long term. In addition, we jointly get better control of the water quality in the closed recycling system and the purified water that
is released to the municipality's sewer.

Gentle on both the environment and the system
Our environmentally friendly detergents are developed and tested not only for optimal washing results, but also to be gentle on Westmatics washing systems. Aggressive detergents risk damaging sensitive components such as gaskets, valves and hoses. At the same time, the wrong viscosity can affect both function and mixing conditions, with both operational problems and reduced washing results as a result. These concerns are completely eliminated when using Westmatics detergent.
To simplify orders and handling, we work with few but effective variants:
- Alkaline is, as the name suggests, alkaline detergents for removing organic material.
- Tar is a tar remover that takes care of oil-based material such as asphalt dots.
- Oxal is based on oxalic acid with a low pH value, which is effective against oxides such as aviation rust and contamination from brakes.
- Rinse is a drainage agent that ensures that the rinsing water drains off the buses in a good way to avoid drops remaining which, when they dry, form limescale deposits.
Westmatic detergents at a glance:
Alkaline
Alkaline detergents for removing organic material.
- Clean & Green Alka: Nordic Eco labelled alkaline detergent with good degreasing properties.
- Heavy Duty Alka: Nordic Ecolabelled cleaning of difficult contaminants such as stubborn organic dirt, oil and soot.
- Heavy Duty Alka : Fortified alkaline detergent for exterior washing of heavy vehicles. Nordic Eco labelled.
- Wheel Wash: Effective alkaline cleaner for rims.
Tar dissolver
Tar is a tar remover that takes care of oil-based material such as asphalt dots.
- Clean & Green Tar: Nordic eco labelled aroma-free cold degreaser with low VOC (volatile organic compounds) for exterior washing of heavy vehicles. Used to dissolve, among other things, oil, asphalt, tar and road salt.
- Heavy Duty Tar: Enhanced low-aromatic cold degreaser that effectively dissolves, among other things, oil, tar, asphalt spots and salt.
- Heavy Duty Micro: Combined cleaner and degreaser for all types of exterior cleaning of heavy vehicles.
Acid
- Clean & Green Oxal: Nordic Eco labelled water and oxalic acid-based detergent with a low pH value that is used to remove, for example, brake dust and iron oxide from all types of heavy vehicles. Above all, this agent is used when washing rail vehicles.
Drying agent
Rinse is a drying agent that ensures that the rinsing water drains off the buses in a good way to avoid drops remaining which, when they dry, form limescale deposits.
- Clean & Green Rinse: Nordic Eco labelled drying agent that reduces limescale stains on paintwork and windows in both automatic and manual washing systems, when cleaning heavy vehicles.
- Westmatic Non Spot: Washing of heavy vehicles. Used in automatic and GDS washing machines as a rinse wax after washing.
Rust remover
- Westmatic Purple Iron: Effectively dissolves fly rust and other dust stuck on rims and painted wheels. The agent protects against corrosion while providing a nice shine.
Inside wash
- Clean & Green Allround: Nordic Eco labelled Effective yet gentle and neutral cleaning agent that is suitable for many areas of use, such as for cleaning both the interior and exterior of heavy vehicles on surfaces that can withstand water.
Bay wash
- Wall Cleaner: Highly effective agent designed for cleaning premises in tough environments such as in wash bays.
Clean & Green
Westmatic wash systems are developed and engineered to exceed some of the world's most stringent regulations for the use of water and power resources. Made in Sweden for markets with extreme climates - from hot to cold. Westmatic's system uses less water, chemicals and electricity compared to competing systems. Our nozzles are configured to use up to 50% less water while our highly efficient motors require less electricity.
